Tablets are the most widely-used drug delivery system.However, some patient groups including young children, the elderly and patients with dysphagia can have difficulty in swallowing conventional tablets. Especially due to their size and shape. For for these patients a multi-particulate dosage form like  Minitablets can be useful.

Minitablets are compressed tablets with a diameter of between 1 and 4 mm.
