Lactalis Ingredients Pharma is a French pharmaceutical grade lactose manufacturer, brand of Lactalis Ingredients who now has more than 50 years of experience in lactose production. This year, we are proud to enter the excipient’s market with our first range of lactose monohydrate: Lactalpha.

The quality of our lactose is inherited from the expertise of our teams and the environment in which it is produced. In 2017, we inaugurated a state-of-the-art lactose manufacture in Retiers, in the countryside of western France.
The Retiers plant is certified ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and complies with the Good Manufacturing Practices. We bear an ongoing commitment to pharmaceutical quality and are involved in continual evaluation of the risk and change control.
Thanks to the proximity of Retiers to the milk and whey collection areas, we can guarantee the security of our pharmaceutical lactose supply. Plus, we benefit from the extended shipping perimeter of Lactalis Ingredients, who is currently able to deliver lactose in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Lactalis Ingredients Pharma is introducing a new range of pharmaceutical grade lactose monohydrate: Lactalpha.
The Lactalpha range is composed of milled and sieved lactose from 50 to 100 to 150 mesh size, and soon 200 mesh. These references are compliant with the monographs of the current Pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., USP-NF, JP). Thanks to its various particle sizes, Lactalpha can follow you in the formulation of tablets from wet and dry granulation, or in the filling of capsules and sachets.
