Drawing upon over 50 years of expertise in the production of cellulose ether excipients, Shin-Etsu significantly enhances various aspects of pharmaceutical technology.
Shin-Etsu operates globally with offices across several continents. The pharmaceutical excipients produced in Japan and Germany are well known for high quality standards and have been complemented over the past decade by five technical laboratories worldwide, including locations in Japan, Germany, the USA, India, and recently Singapore.
Regulated grades of cellulose ethers used in pharmaceutical applications are manufactured in Naoetsu, Japan (METOLOSE®, METOLOSE® SR, PHARMACOAT®, L-HPC, HPMCP and Shin-Etsu AQOAT®) and Wiesbaden, Germany (TYLOPUR® and TYLOPUR® SR).

SE Tylose is an excipient manufacturer with an emphasis on a stable supply of high-quality products. The production plant operates under GMP conditions and fulfils the requirements of the pharmaceutical, food and nutraceutical industries:
