Kollisolv^® MCT can be used as emollient in creams and lotions. Our high performance emollient offers high flexibility and efficiency for topics drug delivery systems – allowing to adapt variables such as spreading value, molecular weights, or water permeability in line with your needs.

With its moisture retention effect, fattening and re-fattening power this topical excipient is able to care and protect the skin. Within the formulation it also has an impact on the consistency and appearance of the cream or lotion. Kollisolv^® MCT has a good skin tolerance.

Exhibiting excellent solubilization capability and low toxicity, Kollisolv^® MCT is a medium chain triglyceride is also used as solubilizer for lipophilic drugs, penetration enhancer and lubricant. Moreover, it is suitable for water-barrier-repairing and as emollient film-former on skin. As solvent Kollisolv^® MCT can be used in solutions, liquid suspensions and lipid-based drug delivery systems for emulsions, creams, ointments, gels and foams as well as suppositories. Kollisolv^® MCT is also suitable for use as solvent and liquid oily lubricant in soft gels.
