Investigation of the Kollicoat Smartseal formulation concepts on the taste masking functionality

Kollicoat^® Smartseal is a reverse-enteric polymer designed for such taste-masking applications. In the saliva pH, the polymer is insoluble, ensuring an effective taste masking. It dissolves readily at a pH below 5.5 (stomach), allowing for a drug’s immediate release.
