Carbopol® 940 NF Polymer

Description

Carbopol^® 940 NF polymer is a highly efficient thickener used for formulating clear aqueous and hydroalcoholic gels. The polymer has short flow rheology similar to mayonnaise.

Lubrizol’s benzene polymerized polymers do not meet the European Pharmacopeial “Carbomers” monograph because the residual benzene levels exceed the 2 ppm limit stipulated in the monograph.
