Cekol or sodium CMC, is a water soluble polymer derived from wood and cotton cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone.

CEKOL® 30000 P is a highly purified Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose. It is a tasteless, odourless, thickener, stabilizer or dispersant.

CEKOL 30000 P complies with the requirements contained in the following regulations and standards: Food Chemicals Codex, 21 CFR 182.1745, JECFA, the purity criteria in the current EC Directive, Japan’s Specifications and
Standards for Food Additives, and the National Standard of the People’s Republic of China.

CEKOL 30000 P also conforms to the monographs of “Carmellose Sodium” or “Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium” in the current Ph. Eur., USP/NF, JP, and several local pharmacopeias.
