EMCOCEL® XLM 90 is a medium size standard MCC grade, suited for the majority of directly compressible actives. Combines good flow and high compactibility, but very low moisture content (< 1.5 %) for processing water-sensitive actives.
EMCOCEL® XLM 90 has an average particle size of 130 micron measured by Laser Diffraction and a bulk density of 0.25 – 0.37 (g/mL)
EMCOCEL® (microcrystalline cellulose, MCC) is an odorless, tasteless, porous white powder derived from pharmaceutical grade wood pulp.
With a wide range of chemical, technical, and economic benefits, MCC is one of the most widely used binder excipients for tablet formulations.
