Description
Hedjuvan-MCE15, also known as Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether (15 EO) is synthesized by ethoxylation of mainly Cetostearyl Alcohol. The number in the product name indicates the average polymer length in ethylene oxide units. As a general rule of thumb, the higher the ethoxylation grade, the more hydrophilic the Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether.
Macrogol Cetostearyl Ethers are primarily used as emulsifiers in pharmaceutical topical dosages, and can be used for both oil-in-water and water-in-oil formulations. They have good solubilizing properties, and can also be used to adjust consistency of semi-solid dosage forms.
Macrogol Cetostearyl Ethers are blendable with a range of other surfactants to achieve desired formulation characteristics. Please refer to related articles section below for further available Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether grades.
Hedjuvan-MCE products have exceptional low water content to meet requirements of demanding applications.
