An anionic emulsifier for topical pharmaceutical applications.
Kolliphor® CSS is an anionic, oil-in-water emulsifier used to prepare pharmaceutical creams and lotions. It is a slightly yellowish powder with a faint characteristic odor and an HLB>40. It can be used to emulsify many systems, typically at 0.5-2.0%. Kolliphor® CSS is also suitable for formulating foams.
