natrosol™ 250 pharm is a nonionic water-soluble cellulose ether. natrosol™ 250 pharm is used in solutions and gels to control rheology, in emulsions for high-salt tolerance and surfactant compatibility and in modified-release matrix tablets, where high-viscosity grades provide effective diffusion-limiting release of APIs with low water solubility. Ashland offers several grades of natrosol™ 250 pharm with different molecular weight (from low to high MW: l, g, m, h/hx, hhw/hhx).
