Carrageenan is a family of naturally occurring, high molecular weight polysaccharides extracted from red seaweed which yield kappa, iota and lambda types.

SeaSpen® Carrageenans are water soluble polymers that are used for thickening, gelling, and encapsulation in a variety of industrial applications.

Products:

SeaSpen® GP379 is an industrial grade of carrageenan primarily used as a gelling agent in a variety of water-based formulations. It is a fully biodegradable hydrocolloid naturally derived from seaweed.

SeaSpen® IN is an industrial carrageenan hydrocolloid derived from seaweed and used as a thickener and gelling agent for water-based solutions.
