Cekol or sodium CMC, is a water soluble polymer derived from wood and cotton cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone.
CEKOL 2000 P product is a highly purified Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC), based on sustainably sourced cellulose. CEKOL products are manufactured at Äänekoski plant in Finland. Manufacturing is done according to recognized principles of good manufacturing practices (GMP). CEKOL Cellulose Gum is a highly purified cold water-soluble polymer derived from natural cellulose. CEKOL’s main function is the ability to impart viscosity to aqueous solutions. CEKOL is a versatile and cost-effective stabilizer for a wide range of applications, including beverages, sauces, desserts and bakery. This versatility allows beverages to be formulated with varying types of mouthfeels; from light and refreshing to thick and indulgent. All CEKOL Cellulose Gum products are water-soluble polymers derived from cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone. The cellulose gum molecule formed by the addition of the carboxymethyl groups is anionic and dissolves readily in cold water or warm water.
