Amit Raj Sinha, MD & CEO of Sigachi conferred the Business Leader of the year 2018

The Business Leader of the year to Amit Raj Sinha was given in the category of Pharmaceutical Industries (Mid Size). This award is in recognition for the leadership in taking the company at a growth trajectory higher than the industry average. The growth is counted in terms of innovation, market size and investor and shareholder returns.

Speaking on the occasion, Amit Raj Sinha, MD & CEO of Sigachi Industries brought out his journey from an Indian Naval Commander to this milestone of Business Leader. Amit Raj Sinha is the CEO & MD of Sigachi® Industries Private Limited. Sigachi® is into manufacture of Pharma Excipients and specialty ingredients for the food, nutra and beverage industry. Amit is an Indian Navy Veteran and has served onboard warships and other vital Defence installations.

By his qualification, he has a Masters in Engineering and MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He is an active participant in Pharma and food technological advancement. Till date, 10 of his Technical papers have been published in international Pharma journals. He is also on the Editorial board of two Pharma Journals

Amit is an avid Marathon runner and a cyclist. For the year 2018, he has complete 6 marathons. He has also participated in Brevets, which are organised by the Audax India Randonneurs. He has been a microlight pilot and has participated in the International Fleet Review (IFR) in 2001. He is also a qualified Instructor in Hang Gliding and has conducted camps, while being in the Navy. He also particpated in the Pre World Cup Paragliding Championship in the year 2003.
