Private Ingredients in ZoomLab ยฎ
Now, Corporate Premium users can securely add and manage their own excipient data, unlocking new possibilities to predict the best formulation based on the broad excipient database in ZoomLabยฎ plus your own database.
What is ZoomLab ยฎ?
ZoomLabยฎ is a digital platform designed to inspire better medicines by streamlining formulation development. It brings together powerful tools for excipient selection, risk assessment, and process optimization, all in one place.
Why it matters:
- Seamlessly use your private ingredients in key apps like โFormulation Wizardโ and โNitrosamine Risk Assessmentโ
- Design and optimize formulations with your typical ingredients
- Admin controls for secure data management and sharing
BASFโs virtual drug formulation platform ZoomLabยฎ now offers Corporate Premium users the ability to add their own ingredients to the database. This functionality enables users to enrich the existing library of public ingredients โ which already includes a wide range of excipients from BASF and our platform partners โ with their own material data. The initial enhancement allows users with a Corporate Premium subscription to select the added ingredients across major formulation apps and share them securely within their organization.
Our public ingredient database is already populated with a diverse selection of excipients from BASF and various partners. With the ability to extend this database, users can tailor their formulation approach even further. All ingredients added to ZoomLabยฎ by users are private and will not be accessible for BASF nor other platform users outside their tenant (technical term for individual ZoomLabยฎ Corporate Premium setup).
Scope of version 1.0
Private inactive ingredients are included for the following apps:
- Formulation Wizard
- Incompatibility Check
- Processability of Powder Blend
- Tabletability of Powder Blend
- Nitrosamine Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Future versions will incorporate active ingredients and cover a broader app scope.
Creation and usage of private ingredients
Private ingredient data is first added to the database. Each Corporate Premium tenant can determine whether all users within the tenant have permission to add and edit private ingredients or if this capability should be restricted to a designated admin user within the organization (reach out to ZoomLabยฎ team to set up additional role). All users associated with the tenant can then access all created private ingredient pages and choose private ingredients within the relevant applications.
