Enteric protection followed by rapid drug release in the upper small intestine or colon

Many oral products require enteric protection followed by rapid, homogeneous drug release to enable precise targeting within either the proximal region of the small intestine or the ileocolonic region. EUDRATEC FASTERIC® FOR RAPID DRUG RELEASE IN THE UPPER SMALL INTESTINE

EUDRATEC® Fasteric is an advanced bilayer technology that provides enteric protection followed by rapid, homogeneous release for drug products targeting proximal regions of the small intestine such as the duodenum. EUDRATEC® Fasteric can rapidly release 90% of the drug within 30 minutes of arrival at a specific, pre-defined pH level between 3.0 and 5.5 to precisely match the release profile requirements of APIs which have a narrow absorption window. It can be used with a range of different EUDRAGIT® enteric polymers. It is also fast and easy to process using standard equipment, and suitable for use with a range of oral dosage forms including multiparticulates, tablets and capsules. 

DUOCOAT® FOR RAPID DRUG RELEASE IN THE ILEOCOLONIC REGION

DuoCoat® is a novel dual-action technology designed to achieve enteric protection and rapid drug release in the ileocolonic region. DuoCoat® consists of an enteric outer layer of an enteric EUDRAGIT® polymer, and an inner layer of partially neutralized enteric polymer and a buffer agent. It is clinically proven for rapid drug release, suitable for use with standard manufacturing equipment, and applicable for use across a range of dosage forms including monolithic and multiparticulates. In addition to enabling rapid drug release at a precise ileocolonic location.
