See the new features of the digital formulation assistant ZoomLab™ in February 2021

BASF has released a new version of the digital tool, ZoomLab™ in February 2021. The latest update includes a “Developability Classification of Active Ingredient” module and an expanded “Excipient Database” with 44 new topical excipients.  ZoomLab™ is a free online tool from BASF that has been developed for formulators, by formulators.

ZoomLab™ removes needless trial and error from the drug formulation process by testing and predicting multiple aspects of an oral solid dosage formulation – including optimized starting formulations. This reduces the time and resources required at the starting stages of the formulation process.

New features are newly available on ZoomLab™ since Feb. 2021, see them here in the video:

New features:

  • Determine the Developability Classification System (DCS) class of your active ingredients
  • Explore the Excipient Database – featuring 44 new Topical Excipients!
