Roquette´s MICROCEL® microcrystalline cellulose family is growing
Microcrystalline Cellulose
MICROCEL® Microcrystalline cellulose is used as a filler/binder as well as a fiber source in various oral dosage forms in both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications. Microcrystalline cellulose has a long history of use in pharmaceutical dosage form and has had a significant role in the development of direct compression. Roquette offers a large range of MICROCEL® in order to meet different formulation, process and dosage form requirements. In addition to its nutrient and excipient properties, MICROCEL® has a large surface area allowing adsorption of particles or liquids and a certain capacity to act as a disintegrant.
SD products are spray dried and offered from EXCiPACT (International Pharmaceutical Excipients Certification) certified plant.
MICROCEL® can be used in swallowable tablets, hard capsules, blends, granules and pellets premix.
