Ashland is spotlighting several new and expanded pharmaceutical solutions during CPHI Milan and at AAPS PharmSci 360, New Orleans, LA, October 25-28, 2026 (booth 925). This includes recently launched permexa™ sodium caprate, a novel permeation enhancer designed to support the oral delivery of biologics, peptides, GLP-1 therapies and other poorly permeable molecules. Permexa™ sodium caprate recently gained industry recognition as a finalist for the CPHI Pharma Awards 2026 in the Finished Formulation category, highlighting its potential to advance oral biologics development and pharmaceutical manufacturing performance.
During the shows Ashland will also emphasize the expansion of its injectables platform through its growing family of vialose™ High Purity Low Endotoxin (HPLE) sugars, including vialose™ mannitol slated for a November 2026 commercial launch.
With permexa™ sodium caprate, Ashland is supporting the pharmaceutical industry’s growing focus on oral biologics and peptide therapeutics to address both permeation and manufacturability challenges in oral solid dosage formulations. Unlike conventional sodium caprate materials, permexa™ provides improved powder flow, compactibility and handling characteristics, enabling more robust tablet production while maintaining the permeation enhancement performance required for next-generation oral therapies.
