KORSCH & MEDELPHARM at the 5th European Conference on Pharmaceutics: Innovation and Practical Insights

The 5th European Conference on Pharmaceutics will take place in Porto, Portugal, on March 24th-25th, 2025. This event will bring together professionals, researchers, and experts in the field to explore the latest trends and technologies in drug formulation and pharmaceutical development. As a proud sponsor, KORSCH & MEDELPHARM will be sharing valuable insights through research presentations, live demonstrations, and supporting academic growth with the STYL’One University Contest.
Visit KORSCH & MEDELPHARM at ECP Booth #5
At the conference, KORSCH & MEDELPHARM will be at booth #5, where experts including Quentin Boulay & Adrien Pelloux from MEDELPHARM, Friederike Gütter from KORSCH AG, and Martin Jusek from Agrosistema will be available to talk with attendees. They will be showcasing the STYL’One Nano Compaction Simulator, highlighting its role in tablet development, material testing, and optimizing formulation processes. Live demos will allow visitors to see how this versatile equipment helps researchers efficiently screen formulations with minimal material use.
Contributing to Tablet Manufacturing Research
In addition to the live demos, KORSCH & MEDELPHARM will present two scientific posters focused on advances in tablet manufacturing.
Dr. Friederike Gütter, from the KORSCH INNOVATION CENTER, will discuss her research on “Refining Rotary Press Parameters for Consistent Tablet Quality during Product Transfer.” Her work explores how optimizing compaction and die-filling processes can improve production efficiency and ensure consistent tablet quality at high speeds.

Adrien Pelloux, from the MEDELPHARM Science Lab, will share his findings on “The Influence of Temperature on Critical Tablet Attributes.” His research looks into how temperature changes impact tablet hardness and appearance, providing insights into how manufacturers can maintain product quality in different conditions. His study also uses MEDELPHARM’s heated die accessory to manage die temperature during compression, helping to prevent issues like sticking or API melting.

Partnering with Roquette Pharma for Formulation Enhancement
This year, KORSCH & MEDELPHARM are also partnering with Roquette Pharma Solutions to enhance their product offerings. Together, they will demonstrate the STYL’One Nano Compaction Simulator using Roquette’s PEARLITOL® 200 GT mannitol and other excipients for direct compression. The goal is to show how these excipients can improve formulation performance, particularly for applications like taste-masking.
Supporting Academic Research: The STYL’One University Contest
KORSCH & MEDELPHARM are also supporting academic research through the STYL’One University Contest. This competition invites universities to submit proposals explaining how they would use the STYL’One Nano in their research. A panel from MEDELPHARM will review the proposals, with the winning teams receiving following prizes:
Prizes STYL’One University Contest
- 1st Place: A two-year free loan of the STYL’One Nano.
- 2nd Place: Access to MEDELPHARM Innovation Center services.
- 3rd Place: Entry to an international scientific conference.
The contest aims to provide students and researchers with valuable hands-on experience in tablet formulation and powder characterization.
